If it wasn’t common
knowledge before, it’s about to be: I was obsessed
with One Tree Hill. Me and one of my friends used to have binge marathons of
the show when a new season was about to be released. We’d watch from season
one and laugh, shout, throw M&M’s at the TV when we were raging at
something, and even pause it if we needed to talk about something for more than
five seconds. I should be embarrassed by this, but I tend to just smile at the
memory and keep my complete series DVD collection hidden in a drawer.
{Studio Tour... no photography allowed, whoops!}
There is a reason I'm telling you this
slightly cringey story, promise. When I was living in Orlando in 2011, I went on a few power road trips. During one of them we stopped in Wilmington and spent a couple of days exploring. We took a tour around the studios where they filmed one morning. The only down side was we weren't allowed to take any photos (not even a cheeky selfie). But the best part was that
afterwards, we went cruising around the town looking for all the spots they
regularly filmed at for the show. I felt a little bit bad for the people who
actually lived in the houses used as the exteriors of the characters houses
but… it was all part of the fun.
Today I decided to relive
a bit of that trip, thus sharing some pretty embarrassing (but pretty friggin' tan!) photos of me from three and a half years ago.
Hope you enjoy!
{Karen's Cafe, corner of Front & Grace}
{The bridge from the opening credits. I couldn't believe how green the surrounding area was!}
{Lucas' house}
{Brooke's house. Looks like a life-size doll house!}
{The Rivercourt. The show hadn't wrapped, but it was covered in names & messages from fans}
{The Rivercourt was demolished after the show wrapped. It was behind the carpark of the USS North Carolina Battleship}
Love times infinity,
