Nailpolish

I have a bit of a thing for nailpolish. After all these years of using it I’m still pretty rubbish with the application, but with the collection I’ve built up it’s definitely cheaper to do it myself! It could be a family thing, my sister has quite a collection too!

I like to remove chipped and yucky looking polish right before I get in the shower. This way I can scrub my nails clean and cut them while they’re soft (personal preference, I know people who hate to do that!). Then I use a four-way buffer cube that files, removes ridges, buffs and shines. I chuck the colour straight on after this. I have a bad habit of not using a base coat! (I should though, I had a gel manicure a couple of months ago and the ridges on my nails are still pretty bad!) But I always do at least two coats of colour and a top coat.

As a quick disclaimer: I’m not trying to #Humblebrag over my collection! I started getting them years ago, some as presents but most on 3 for 2 deals (Because I love a good deal!). If you're in New Zealand, keep your eyes peeled for that deal in Farmers.

I have a couple on my radar too: Essie Chinchilly and OPI You Don't Know Jacques.

Do you have any other suggestions of what I should add to my wish list?

Love times infinity,

Justine x
